Biography

Dr. Bertrand Guillotin joined the Fox School of Business at Temple University in 2015, following appointments as Director of the International Programs Office at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and as part-time instructor with Campbell University, RTP, NC (2002-2015) after a successful international corporate career in Germany and in the US (10 years).
Having spent more than 25 years outside his home country, Dr. Guillotin has taught in the US and in Europe (as Guest Lecturer) and done business in more than 30 countries. He speaks French, German, and English fluently.

At the Fox School of Business (Strategic Management Department), Dr. Guillotin serves as Assistant Professor of Instruction, Academic Director of the International Business Administration BBA undergraduate program, Academic Director of the International Management Concentration for all MBAs, as well as Academic Advisor and ex-officio Executive Board Member of the IB Association (approx.. 125 members).
He teaches undergraduate and graduate students (BBA, OBBA, OMBA, MS, and PMBA programs), serves on multiple committees, and received the MVOP: Most Valuable Online Professor award for the 2017-2018 academic year.

In the scholarly IB Community, Dr. Guillotin has been very engaged with the Academy of International Business (former Board Member of the US Northeast Chapter and former Chapter Chair, as well as AIB regional conference organizer between 2016 and 2018). He also served as Member of the Temple Center for IB Education and Research Advisory Board (2015-2018). Lastly, he has been the Fox School Representative, as well as a member of the Ad-hoc Committee on strategic partnerships for the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education (CUIBE) since 2015.

Dr. Guillotin’s research interests include international business and strategic management. His recent scholarly publications include articles in the Journal of Management Development, Journal of Risk and Financial Management, Journal of International Education in Business, and the Thunderbird International Business Review (lead article Sept/Oct 2015 issue). In addition to speaking regularly at academic conferences, he has been a member of the Editorial Board for the Thunderbird International Business Review (Wiley) since 2016.

Other publications include business cases (Ivey Publishing), as well as specialized articles in the Financial Times (London, UK), Les Echos, a prominent French economic newspaper, and the European Foundation for Management Development’s Global Focus magazine.

Dr. Guillotin holds a DBA from the triple-accredited Grenoble Ecole de Management, France, an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird (Arizona State University), a European Diploma of Higher Education in International Marketing from FEDE in Switzerland, a Manager du Commerce International diploma from ESARC business school, and a Brevêt de Technicien Supérieur en Commerce International from LETP M. Tessier in France.
