Biography
Felicidad García, PhD, CCC-SLP is an assistant professor of clinical instruction in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Temple University, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate coursework and supervises graduate clinicians providing treatment at the Temple University Speech Language & Hearing Center. Before coming to Temple University, Dr. García worked as a speech-language pathologist in schools and sub-acute rehabilitation centers, specializing in the assessment and treatment of children and adults from culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) backgrounds. Dr. García co-directs the Multilingual Research Group with colleague, Dr. Jodi Reich. Her research interests include dual-language learning, bidialectalism, using electroencephalographic (EEG) and behavioral techniques. She has a specific interest in determining the differences and similarities between “bilingual” and “bidialectal” language users, as it relates to normal language development and differential diagnosis of disorder in CLD groups.
