Biography
Arvind Parkhe is the Laura H. Carnell Professor at the Fox School of Business, Temple University. He was at Indiana University [Bloomington] from 1989 to 2003, and has been at Temple since 2003. Professor Parkhe has received numerous awards for excellence in research, teaching, and service.
In research, Professor Parkhe won the Academy of International Business [AIB] Outstanding Dissertation Award [1990], Journal of International Business Studies [JIBS] Decade Award [2001] for the most influential paper over a 10-year period, and several best paper awards at national and international conferences, including the AIB Southwest [2014] Annual Conference Best Paper Award. He is a highly-cited author, consistently ranking among the top scholars in international business/global strategy literatures. Professor Parkhe has published in all leading journals in his field, and has served on the editorial boards of several journals, including as Guest Editor of the prestigious Academy of Management Review.
He won teaching excellence awards at the PhD, Masters, and Undergraduate levels, at Indiana University [1989-2003] and at Temple University [2003-present], most recently the 2017 MBA Faculty of the Year Award.
Professor Parkhe was recognized for his leadership contributions with the Musser Outstanding Service Award [2012] and the Temple University Faculty Service Excellence Award [2012]. He currently serves as Chair of the Strategic Management Department and has served as Vice President of the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education, Managing Director of Fox MBA Programs, and Chair of the Journal Vetting Committee [JVC].
