Biography

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Physical mechanisms of strong-field quantum control in complex systems:
 Control of femtosecond laser filamentation and nonlinear optics of filament wake channels;
 Spectral control of coherent broadband light generated via dynamic Rabi cycling;
 Strong-field control of electronic and nuclear dynamics in molecules and molecular ions;
 Dimensionality reduction in multi-parameter control and detection spaces;
 Femtosecond four-wave mixing in spatially inhomogeneous systems.
Linear and nonlinear light scattering in turbid media as applied to noninvasive blood characterization.
Dispersion law engineering and dynamics of quasiparticles with engineered dispersion:
 Mechanics of particles with W-type dispersion;
 Edge magnetic states in systems with non-monotonic potential profile;
 Electronic and optoelectronic properties of fullerene nanotubes;
 Spin-orbital manipulation in quantum wires and in quantum wells of curved geometry.
Electronic and optical properties of nanostructures based on novel materials:
 Electron localization in polarization electron pockets in thin films of nitride semiconductors;
 Bow-tie optical phonon modes in quantum dots of non-cubic semiconductors;
 Cascade phonon transformations and energy dissipation in quantum wells;
 Novel materials for photodetectors and solar cells.
