Biography
Dr. John Soss leads Temple University’s Masters in Investment Management, Financial Engineering and Financial Analysis and Risk Management programs following a dynamic investment banking career in New York and London. Dr. Soss managed derivatives franchise businesses in North America, Europe and Asia. Additionally, his professional background includes spearheading specialized structured finance and quantitative research teams. Dr. Soss is the recipient of the Fox School’s 2007 FMA Teacher of the Year; 2008 International MBA Faculty of the Year; 2012 Andrisani-Frank Award for Excellence in Teaching; and 2012, 2014, 2016 MSFE, 2016 MSFA-RM & 2017 MSIM Faculty of the Year awards. Dr. Soss is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Risk Manager. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from Northwestern University.
