Hello!
Greetings from Accounting at Fox! We just wrapped up our school year culminating with celebrations of the May graduation and the Accounting Achievement Awards. As alumni, recruiters, supporters, faculty and staff of the Department of Accounting at the Fox School of Business, we have so much to be proud and grateful for.

With the Fox School, we were honored to be the inaugural site of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) launch of a nationwide inclusivity campaign. NABA President Guylaine Saint Juste and her leadership team joined with students and leaders in our community to dialogue on creating a strong pipeline of diverse talent for employers.
This coming summer, we are launching the Accounting Institute, a program for high school students to increase their awareness of the accounting profession and the various career paths available, especially among students from underrepresented backgrounds. Many thanks to our generous sponsors.
Our MAcc program, with its 11th Cohort to graduate this summer, continues to be strong. The new Master of Science in Taxation (MST) with the Beasley School of Law welcomed its first class of students this year. Our new Master of Science in Accounting and Financial Management, an online, part-time program, designed for professionals employed in the fields of management accounting and financial management seeking to enhance their career opportunities, will launch in this fall.
This year the department focused on three themes in our programming: Accounting is a profession with a purpose, accounting is technology, and accounting is pushing the boundaries. In concert with our six student professional organizations–ASCEND, Association of Latino Professionals For America, Beta Alpha Psi, Fox Accounting Association, Institute of Management Accountants at Temple, the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)–we brought in speakers, panels, and programs around these. In the coming year, our themes will be accounting is a profession with Integrity, accounting is Innovative, and accounting is Inclusive — I see myself in accounting.
Accounting alumni, students and faculty continue to shine on all fronts. In this newsletter, you will find stories about our students, engagement with the community, innovation in our curriculum and programs, and contributions to scholarship. Take a peek at the faculty research highlighted in the Fox Knowledge Hub on auditor reviews and firm investment opportunities.
As always, I am humbled and honored to serve as the chair of such an incredible group of faculty, delivering innovative programs for outstanding students, and (hopefully) making our alumni, recruiters, and other stakeholders very proud of Temple University, the Fox School of Business, and the Department of Accounting. Much of our success is attributable to the support we receive from our generous stakeholders.
